Sarasota, Florida (June 7, 2021) Parkinson Place hosted their inaugural Virtual Summit on Saturday, June 5th.
More than 2,300 people participated in the event which highlighted the latest in evidence-based programs, treatments, products and educational opportunities for Parkinson’s patients and caregivers.
Featured presenters included Dr. Kelly D. Foote, a Neurosurgery Specialist of the Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases at UF Health discussing surgical treatments for Parkinson’s disease and world renowned Teepa Snow one of the leading educators on dementia and the care that accompanies it. Additional topics included nutrition, physical and occupational therapy and, communication strategies.
“The Summit was more successful than we ever imagined by bringing people together from all across the globe. Parkinson Place is already planning for a live in-person event next year,” stated Alix Redmonde, CEO.
