American Legion Post 254 Hosts Grass Skirts, Hawaiian Shirts Luau

NORTH PORT, FL – The Sons of the American Legion Post 254 will host a 2nd Annual Grass Skirts, Hawaiian Shirts Luau from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2021.

Open to the public, the event is to raise money for the Special Olympics. The Luau will take place on the grounds of the American Legion Post 254, 6648 Taneytown Street in North Port.

The event will include a variety of entertainment, including live music by Feelin’ Good and a special performance by Cirque Bishop Fire Dancers. There will be prizes for best Hawaiian shirt and best grass skirt. Food will include a hog roast dinner, cooked by Railroad of the American Legion Riders.

All ages are welcome. The cost to attend is $10 per person. Children under 18 are free with a paying adult. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the American Legion Post 254. Food will cost $10 per plate. Event T-shirts will be available for $15.
