ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – (Jun 3, 2021) – Tampa Bay Innovation Center (TBIC), a business incubator and coworking entrepreneurial center, has opened applications to its accelerator program focused on company founders. The Pinellas County-based accelerator program is seeking all types of high impact tech startups from all over the country for its fourth cohort. Accelerator participants will engage in a rigorous program that includes coaching, education, connections and expertise from industry professionals. The program will be held virtually.
The program is made possible by a network of 75+ mentors and advisors, many of whom are the regions’ top technology and business leaders. Additional value is provided by one-on-one coaching, peer-to-peer advisory board, and access to coworking resources at the Tampa Bay Innovation Center. Nineteen companies have participated in the program since inception late 2019. They have raised approximately $4M in capital.
Founders in the program create an evidence-based product and go-to-market roadmap after learning the secrets of user and market research. They develop strategies for testing and implementing pricing, staffing, partnerships, and demand generation.
“A startup founder’s journey to find a sustainable product-market fit is one that is achieved through insight into the customer’s problems and by establishing trust with early adopters. This program helps founders build the credibility and confidence they need to launch and grow scalable products based on that insight and real market demand,” said Ken Evans, managing director, tech accelerator.
The program is:
- offered over a 12-week period
- focused on founders, leadership and being revenue / investment ready
- mentor-driven by serial entrepreneurs with successful track records
- designed to accommodate up to 10 companies per cohort
- celebrated with a demo/pitch event
- provided free-of-charge and no equity will be required
To qualify for this accelerator program, applicants must:
- have a scalable tech venture
- be pre-seed, seed, or post-seed to Series A
- be post-minimal viable product/proof of concept
- have outside capital <$2M
- consist of two or more team members
Applications are being accepted until July 12th. Complete information and application are available at https://tbinnovates.com/accelerator.
