ARCADIA, FL – After more than a year of being closed to in-person assistance due to the pandemic, Goodwill Manasota’s Arcadia Job Connection office has returned to in-person services. The organization celebrated the occasion with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on May 26.
In attendance were Goodwill Manasota leaders and team members – including Ana Magadan, the new GoodPartner Coach/Career Development Facilitator at the Arcadia Job Connection – Debbie Wertz, the president of the DeSoto Chamber of Commerce, and numerous members of the Chamber board.
Wirtz welcomed the assembled and then Goodwill Vice President Donn Githens offered insight as to the components and benefits of the Job Connection program and spoke about Goodwill’s role in the community as an essential service provider. After the ribbon cutting, guests were welcome to take a tour of the facility as well as learn about other available mission services at the location, including those for veterans.
Goodwill’s Job Connection program is a free service that is designed to help individuals obtain long-term employment or to transition to better-paying jobs.
