The Florida Peninsula Insurance family of companies announces the addition of Robert Carlo as the company’s Director of Litigation. In this role, Carlo will co-lead the Litigation Department, focusing on disposition strategies for catastrophe suits, metrics, operational management, and oversight of front-line litigation handling.
As Florida Peninsula continues to invest in enhancing the capabilities of its claims and litigation operations, the company’s executive management team decided to add this new position to best address the unique challenges of Florida homeowners insurance litigation.
“A recent vacancy in our Litigation Unit allowed us to revisit our structure and operational approaches to litigation management,” said Stacey Giulianti, Chief Legal Officer of Florida Peninsula and its wholly owned subsidiary, Edison Insurance Company. “Rob brings considerable expertise to our team as we position the organization for growth and profitability.”
Carlo has spent nearly three decades in the property and casualty industry, working in both standard and non-standard insurance organizations. Notably, 19 years were in leadership roles. He began his claims career at Progressive Insurance and continued with roles at GMAC Insurance, American International Group (AIG), Acceptance Insurance, Direct General Insurance, Windhaven Insurance Company, National General Insurance, and Fed Nat Insurance.
“Rob will work collectively with our claims and litigation industry specialists as they continuously work to improve Florida Peninsula’s performance in litigation frequency, handling quality, expense management, and operational effectiveness,” said Michael Williams, Florida Peninsula’s Vice President of Claims and Litigation.
Carlo is a native Floridian who completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and earned his MBA at the Keller Graduate School of Management.
