SARASOTA, FL (May 19, 2021) – Following an extensive national search, All Faiths Food Bank is pleased to announce that Ryan Beaman has been promoted to Senior Director of Operations. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing the planning, accountability and logistics involved in keeping a fleet of trucks on the road, managing a 20,000-square-foot warehouse, and coordinating with nearly 200 community partners and programs in the Food Bank’s network to feed the hungry in Sarasota and DeSoto counties.
Beaman joined the food bank in 2014 as the first manager of the brand-new Mobile Farm Market program; the program and Beaman’s position were funded by a grant from the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation. In that capacity, he had the opportunity to engage donors, board members and community leaders while helping to ensure community members could enjoy fresh, healthy food. In 2017, after successful implementation of the Mobile Farm Markets, he was promoted to Director of Food Resource Management where he worked extensively with the operations department, volunteers and community partners.
“With almost 20 years of experience in the food industry – nearly eight of those years with us – Ryan brings enthusiasm and a collaborative spirit to the job,” said All Faiths CEO Sandra Frank. “We look forward to his continued success as we work together to end hunger in our community.”
Previously, Beaman consulted as a food and nutrition specialist with the USDA/Team Nutrition at Florida Atlantic University. Before that, he was a food service specialist (area supervisor) for Food & Nutrition Services, School District of Manatee County.
