University of Tampa’s MBA Program Placed in the Top Tier by CEO Magazine; EMBA Program Ranked 62nd

Tampa – In a ranking of MBA programs that stressed “fact-based criteria,” The University of Tampa’s Sykes College of Business was placed in the “Tier One” out of schools in North America. Additionally, UT’s Executive MBA (EMBA) program was ranked 62nd out of 91 schools in the Global EMBA rankings.

         The ranking was compiled by CEO Magazine in an effort to “cut through the noise and provide potential students with a performance benchmark for those schools under review.” The factors (and percentage weighting) for rankings included quality of faculty (34.95), international diversity (9.71), class size (9.71), accreditation (8.74), faculty to student ratio (7.76), price (5.83), international exposure (4.85), work experience (4.85), professional development (4.85), gender parity (4.85) and delivery methods (3.8).

UT’s MBA program, within the Sykes College of Business, is one of the largest, most established and most exclusive in Florida. The MBA is offered in three formats:

·         The full-time/day program designed for accelerated completion with a group of peer students.

·         The Professional MBA program designed to help professionals with at least five years of work experience take their career to the next level.

·         The Executive MBA program designed for professionals with seven or more years of work experience.

Students can take additional courses in nine concentrations, including business analytics, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, finance, information management systems, innovation management, international business, marketing and nonprofit management.

Within an 80,000-square-foot facility, the College of Business offers state-of-the-art resources such as the Huizenga Family Foundation Trading Center, the Center for Ethics, TECO Energy Center for Leadership, Naimoli Institute for Business Strategy and the award-winning Lowth Entrepreneurship Center.

The Sykes College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and is one of the few business schools in the Southeast accredited at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
