DETAILS: The vision of early childhood Jewish education in northeast Tampa has, finally, come to fruition with the opening of the Forman Early Learning Center, a Hillel-JCC Jewish preschool.
Three years ago, Hillel Academy’s leadership envisioned an expansion of its program to include children aged one through four years old to serve the growing need of Jewish early childhood education in northeast Tampa. Community donors pledged to support the vision, an architect drew up plans, and the builder constructed the brand new 6,500 sq. ft. center with 10,000 sq. ft. playground right on the Hillel Academy campus.
The Hillel-JCC program is a bilingual (Hebrew and English) experience, focused on the growth of each and every child as he or she develops into the very best version of their toddler selves. Children participate in experiential learning, through a Jewish lens, as they prepare for their transition to elementary school. In addition to ample outside time, children participate in music, art, cooking and PE classes. Depending on a family’s individual scheduling needs, the program runs Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a variety of part-time options available.

The Forman Early Learning Center is named in honor of Seth Forman and his family, a visionary committed to Jewish education and the legacy of Hillel Academy.
