Tampa, Fla. – May 3, 2021 – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Shareholder Jason J. Quintero was named Tampa office managing shareholder.
Quintero succeeds former Tampa Shareholder Lori Baggett. Gary L. Quintero, who has practiced at Carlton Fields for 16 years, is a Tampa native with a deep commitment to the firm, its clients, and the community. Quintero has held leadership roles in the firm and The Florida Bar. He is the current Chair of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar’s Construction Law Institute, which gathers leading, experienced construction law practitioners and other industry professionals for an intensive two-day seminar on cutting-edge developments in construction law.
Within the Tampa Bay community, he is devoted to serving several organizations that work tirelessly to improve the lives of Tampa citizens. His leadership roles include: current member of the Board of Directors for Joshua House, member of and performer for the Carrollwood Cultural Center, and former Board Member of Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County. Quintero also provides pro bono legal services to military veterans. He is accredited to appear before the Veteran Administration Board of Appeals and he works with Lawyers Serving Warriors on disability determinations for service members.
Quintero practices in the firm’s nationally ranked Construction Practice Group, which represents a variety of clients involved in every aspect of the construction industry, including large-scale national homebuilders, general contractors, suppliers and lessors, public bodies, and manufacturers of equipment used in the construction of large-scale projects, including the construction of power plants, stadiums and civic centers, and road construction. He has extensive trial and alternative dispute resolution experience, representing a variety of clients at trial, mediation, and arbitration proceedings. He is board certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar, and OSHA 30 certified. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Florida.
