
JFCS of the Suncoast has appointed Todd Garnier as its new Chief Financial Officer. In this new role, Garnier will recommend outcome-driven administrative and fiscal strategies, collaborate with the senior management team to develop a performance-based annual budget and oversee the staff in the finance department.
Garnier’s 20 years of experience includes his recent role as the Vice President for Finance and Administration at Mansfield University in Mansfield, Pa. and serving as a senior level executive in the real estate, information technology and optical solutions business sectors. He is also the former CFO for both a community college and a charter school. “Todd is a top-performing and results-oriented fiscal leader with exemplary experience in cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with staff and multicultural communities,” stated Arthur Lerman, JFCS President and CEO. “He is also an analytical and conscientious leader who is motivated by a passion to help others.”
Garnier succeeds Philip Pohlmeyer, JFCS’ former Chief Financial Officer, who publicly announced his retirement in December 2020. Pohlmeyer is staying on board part-time to help make the transition as smooth as possible.
Garnier earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York – Empire State College and a master’s degree in business administration from St. John Fisher College. He holds a College Business Management Institute certification from the National Association of College and University Business Officers and a Financial Edge certification from Blackbaud. Garnier also completed a Lean Six Sigma training at the Rochester Institute of Technology. In his leisure time, he enjoys the beach, exploring new areas, playing basketball and bike riding.
