Tampa, FL – The public is invited to Walk for World Peace on Saturday, May 1, at Tampa’s Franciscan Center, where exists one of the city’s loveliest labyrinths in one of the area’s most scenic locations.
This free event is in celebration of World Labyrinth Day, a day on which thousands of people around the world will walk simultaneously in a moving meditation for world peace. According to the World Labyrinth Society, the global action of walking together as one at 1 p.m. will create a “rolling wave of peaceful energy around the world.”
Located at 3010 N. Perry Ave., the Franciscan Center’s stunning grounds located along the Hillsborough River will be open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 1. A very special Walk for World Peace will be held at 1 p.m.
Masks and social distancing will be required at this outdoor, family-friendly event.
To help feed the hungry, participants are invited to bring boxes of cereal to be donated to Feeding America’s Summer Cereal Drive.
