SARASOTA, Fla. (April 12, 2020) — The Fountains at Lake Pointe Woods, an independent and assisted living community in Sarasota, recently completed a nearly $150,000 renovation of its independent living community. The renovation, which pays homage to Old Florida, included a refresh of the lobby, beauty salon and common areas. The community worked with local contractor J2 Solutions and Design Point for interior design services.
“The goal of the renovation was to provide a more beautiful space for residents to come and socialize,” said Peggy Beasley, Executive Director of The Fountains at Lake Pointe Woods. “We’re thrilled with how it turned out and look forward to welcoming our residents back for events and social gatherings in 2021.”
The lobby, located at the Town Center, received new lighting, flooring, woodwork, shutters, furniture and artwork. All furniture was designed with seniors in mind. For instance, chairs include arms and shorter seat depths for ease of standing. The beauty salon was also updated with new floors, counter tops and equipment.
The community is also working toward upgrading all of its resident apartments. As residents move in, apartments are upgraded with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, new flooring and paint. Currently, more than 60% of independent living residences have been completed.
“Our community is constantly improving to better serve our residents, and these renovations are part of our continued investment in creating a beautiful, vibrant community for our residents,” said Beasley.
