And now, Venice-based Advocate Health Advisors is partnering with The American Legion to host a livestream rock concert to support Legion programs that boost communities and veterans throughout the U.S. On May 1, two bands — Brothers & Friends (Marshall Tucker tribute band) and Sharp Dressed Band (ZZ Top tribute band) will be performing a virtual concert.
Advocate Health Advisors, a veteran-owned brokerage, wanted to help after hearing
about how much funding The American Legion had lost since the COVID-19 pandemic
began. Cullen Wright, who served for 34 years in the U.S. Army, is director of Advocate Health Advisors Veterans Initiatives Program. Wright is committed to helping fellow veterans, and a virtual concert provides a way for anyone to get involved.
American Legion programs support veterans and their families who are homeless, women and children programs, legislation for improving veteran benefits and research into traumatic brain
injury and suicide.
Anyone can purchase a ticket and enjoy the concert in the comfort of their own home. The tickets are $10 to purchase for a night of Rock and Roll fun.
Those interested can purchase tickets for the concert and donate through the Advocate for Veterans Facebook page: facebook.com/advocateforveterans
