Selling homes is the goal. To do that, she’s whipping up a delicious meal in the heart of the home and people are connecting.
You see, before the pandemic, Newby started a cooking show on location at some of her homes for sale. She calls the segments Realtor Can Cook. She works with the homeowner to show off the great kitchens which really are the focal point of most homes. She creates an easy dish in 30 minutes or less and creates it in the kitchen of homes on the market. It’s a trifecta win. The seller’s love the idea to showcase their homes, the buyers see how the kitchen layout can work in their busy lives of meal prep and family & friends look forward to another yummy recipe.
These Realtor Can Cook segments really are a family affair. Newby’s two daughters often help with meal prep. It could be gathering spices, cutting veggies or loading up the coolers. These homeschoolers are learning a lot about entrepreneurship, hard work and thinking outside the box. Her husband is the videographer extraordinaire. He has quite the setup for the cooking show segments. Together this family is learning, working and growing together in an impressive way.

That’s not all. As the world shut down during the pandemic, Newby wanted to connect businesses, solopreneurs, nonprofits and fellow entrepreneurs. She created a show she calls Tina Talks on Facebook. She invites guests on her show for a conversation about what they do, how they do it, what sets them apart and how they can help viewers and listeners. To date guests have included Doctors, Non Profit Executives plus Restaurant Owners. Guests love the informal fun banter and she enjoys giving community members a platform to connect.
