PAVA Artists Recreate the Florida Botanical Gardens in Art at the PAVA Paint and Photo Plein Aire Event

April 5, 2021 by Post

Ariyan Mehedi

From Friday, May 14th through Sunday, May 16th, the public is invited to join PAVA (The Professional Association of Visual Artists) artists as they leave behind their studios and demonstrate their painting, drawing, and photography techniques in the beautiful outdoor landscape of Florida’s Botanical Gardens.

Over a dozen artists will be scattered throughout the Florida Botanical Gardens during normal operating hours allowing the public to see first-hand how the artists create their artwork, ask questions about their individual techniques, and learn about what inspires them.

The artwork created at this event will be for sale at an upcoming public market in the Gardens’ plaza in June which will also feature additional gift and plant vendors. More details on the date of the public market event to come in the near future.

The Florida Botanical Gardens is located in Pinewood Cultural Park and is accessible at 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo. Admission and parking are free.

PAVA, the Professional Association of Visual Artists, is a non-profit organization run by volunteer artists to serve local artisans and support the arts community in the Tampa Bay Area. It provides exhibition, education and grant opportunities for its members, as well as offers its members’ artwork for sale at its shop, “Cool Art” by PAVA, located at 1240 County Road 1, Dunedin. Additionally, PAVA supports local art centers, and is a local sponsor of the Pinellas County Regional National Scholastic Art Awards where scholarships are provided to students for art instruction.
