JFCS of the Suncoast continues their Covid-19 relief efforts by partnering with Paradise Grill in Nokomis and local nonprofits; Awaken Church, The Betty J. Johnson North Sarasota Public Library, The Blessing Bags Project, The Center of Hope Neighborhood Church, Living Hope, One Christ One City Church, Venice Train Depot and Hungers End Food Pantry. These Sarasota and Manatee Counties nonprofits have come together with Paradise Grill to distribute 1,800 meals the week of March 29, 2021. Meals will be provided to individuals and families impacted by homelessness and/or the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“This is a wonderful way for us to fulfill the needs of our community. We are grateful to all the organizations who have partnered with us for the many ways in which they have supported those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.” said JFCS President and CEO Arthur Lerman.

All locations will be utilizing low contact drive-through or walk-up procedures to distribute hot and cold meals on a first-come, first-serve basis. All meals include sautéed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, green beans and a cookie. Cold meals will include heating instructions; all meals will be distributed in Styrofoam boxes sealed in plastic with napkins and cutlery.

“I have had the great pleasure of working with many of these non-profits over the years and each one was excited to partner with us to make an impact from the top of Manatee County to the bottom of Sarasota County. We’re thrilled that this event will reach so many members of our community and we couldn’t have done it without our incredible partners.” remarked Karen Pharo, Director of Marketing and Community Outreach.

Each partner location will be serving at different times on different days. To learn more about distribution locations, dates and times and how to donate and/or volunteer visit www.jfcs-cares.org.
