
Pressure Games unveiled their new “Duck Duck Cat” brand and associated web storefront today. Duck Duck Cat will serve as the active brand of toys created by Pressure Games, starting with the launch of their award-winning hide & seek toy, The Countdown Game.
“We spoke with a lot of parents and partners to select a name that would resonate with the toys we’re creating. After tinkering with numerous options, we found that ‘Duck Duck Cat’ immediately conjures up classic playground games, activity and smiles,” says Elizabeth Hughes, Chief Brand Officer.
Countdown is a family game that re-imagines the game of hide & seek through a modern electronic toy with motion detection, rich sounds, bright colors and other interactive elements. Gameplay is simple through hiding the small toy anywhere and having another player find and play through a set of challenges to stop the timer and win. In addition to The Countdown Game, other active play toys are in early stages of development to be released under the Duck Duck Cat brand.
After a successful Kickstarter campaign in September 2020, The Countdown Game will be shipping in early April. Initially, it will be available only though the online store of duckduckcat.com with availability on Amazon expected later in Q2.
The Pressure Games corporation has applied for a trademark on the Duck Duck Cat name and is expecting approval later this year.
