With free agency open, and the draft just over a month away, there is a lot of buzz around the NFL and many bettors are starting to lock in their wagers for the 2021 season.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won their second-ever Super Bowl championship in February, and with Tom Brady set to take the reins at quarterback for the second consecutive year, the Bucs are expected to be in the mix again.
Tampa is priced at +350 to win the NFC on some betting sites, and the best you will find at this stage is +450. The Green Packers are very close second-favorites to win the conference with odds ranging from +400 to +500.
Brady’s Bucs saw off Aaron Rodgers’ Packers in the NFC Championship game last term, and a repeat of that encounter is a strong possibility according to the sportsbooks.
The Los Angeles Rams will have something to say about that, and since the acquisition of Matthew Stafford, there is reason to believe that they can be a serious contender. They are generally priced at +600 for the NFC title.
Next in the betting is the San Francisco 49ers at +700, while fellow NFC West outfit, the Seattle Seahawks, who still have Russell Wilson as their quarterback for now despite strong trade rumors, are at +1200.
As far as the Super Bowl market is concerned, the Bucs are not quite the favorites. Instead, the Kansas City Chiefs, who were blown out by Tampa Bay at Super Bowl LV, are fancied at +500 to bounce back and win the title.
Despite the emphatic nature of the Bucs’ triumph over the Chiefs at the Raymond James Stadium, it is understandable that Kansas City leads the way in the betting.
Andy Reid’s team remains one of the most complete in the league and Patrick Mahomes, who battled through a head injury in last season’s playoffs, is likely to be the MVP favorite every year for the foreseeable future.
You can get +800 on the Bucs to go back-to-back, and given that they have made a number of shrewd offseason moves, that price may still represent value for a team that has plenty of know-how among its ranks.
The Packers, Rams, and 49ers are a part of the next cluster of teams around +1000 to +1400, and they are joined in that range by an AFC duo – the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens.
NFL betting sites have many other markets available, and if you claim online betting offers you can get bonuses in the form of free bets and deposit bonuses – both of which can allow you to place multiple bets across the NFL season.
Tom Brady is as big as +2000 with some bookmakers to win the Regular Season MVP Award, and as Rodgers proved last season, there is no reason why one of the legends of the league can’t get it done.
Rodgers is the second-favorite behind Mahomes to scoop the award in 2021.
