BRADENTON, FL (March 15, 2021)—Cortez Heating & Air has announced it will be partnering with Clearwater-based Pure Air Control Systems to deliver a significant project for the Florida Wildlife Commission.“We could not be more excited to have been chosen for this project,” says Pete Stackow, Sales Engineer at Cortez. “We expect this to be a major undertaking, and we’re honored that the Florida Wildlife Commission has opted to place their trust in us.”The project involves a wide range of upgrades at FWC’s Fish & Wildlife Research Institute, on the University of South Florida-St. Petersburg campus. Planned work includes:The replacement of ten variable air volume boxes, to include disconnecting and reconnecting the duct work.The demolition and removal of abandoned duct work in certain locations.The removal and replacement of chilled water (CW) and heating hot water (HHW) piping.Upgrading the controls and the building automation system (BAS), to include reintegration into the existing automation system.Chemical water treatment for the HHW loop.Testing and balancing the system upon completion of the project.Work is currently slated to begin on April 1, 2021 and is expected to last 30 days. |
