Multiple local Assisted Living Facility Residents around Tampa Bay to receive 32 inch-tall “Cheerful balloon buddies”

Cheerful Balloon Buddies

Tampa, FL – Johan Delgado, the owner of Balloon ArtFX, is part of a national network of balloon artists participating in the “Adopt A Grandparent” movement. The effort aims to brighten the days of seniors who are still experiencing isolation since the pandemic started. This gives the community an opportunity to contribute and help spread joy to our local seniors. People from all over the county and some even out of state have anonymously adopted.
Facilities are doing everything they can to keep morale up, residents active and engaged. But having the community reaching out and supporting by sending these kinds of gifts during the pandemic are a morale booster for both residents and staff. Thru the balloon buddies every resident of the participating facility will have a smiling face inside their room with a poem reminding them they’re not alone and that the community cares.

In the meantime, Balloon ArtFX is seeking sponsorship from individuals as well as businesses to participate to bring more smiles to our local seniors. The program will continue through March.

Balloon ArtFX hopes that this mission will bring much-needed smiles to more seniors. If it grows large enough, they hope to extend the ‘adoption’ effort out to healthcare workers and other frontline heroes of the pandemic.

You can adopt a grandparent today! More information about the program and how to become a sponsor can be found at www.BalloonArtFX.com

Founded in March 2020, Balloon ArtFX opened its doors at the beginning of the Pandemic. “It has not been easy but we try to figure out ways our business can go beyond being a business and serve people in the community such as doing big yard balloon sculptures with positive messages so people driving by can smile,” Delgado said. “Any frown we can turn upside down is a glimpse of joy we’re happy to help facilitate.”
