February 19, 2021 (Bradenton, Fla) On Friday, February 26, beginning at 4pm, Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County will host a conversation with Tyrell Zimmerman, author of Carter: My Dream, My Reality.
Zimmerman is an author, former professional athlete, successful business consultant, serial entrepreneur, and financial expert. He is also a Boys & Girls Clubs alumnus and Youth of the Year. He has built his platform through his work with youth who are underserved and underprivileged. He has been recognized nationally for his work with at-risk youth and for being a mental health advocate.
Tyrell’s Carter: My Dream, My Reality is a children’s book that is used as a tool and a starting point for children and adults to have guided discussions that foster healing and recovery from traumatic experiences. The book focuses on violence and trauma, childhood PTSD, and mental health, particularly in the Black & African-American community.
