Firm Expands Its White Collar Crime and Government Investigations Practice
Tampa, Fla. – February 11, 2021 – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Kurtley M. Taylor has joined the firm as an associate in Tampa.
Mr. Taylor is a member of the firm’s national White Collar Crime and Government Investigations Practice, which includes more than 10 lawyers with high-level experience in criminal and complex civil matters who were former assistant U.S. attorneys, assistant state attorneys, and federal and state public defenders. The team has tried hundreds of criminal cases to judgment in bench and jury trials.
Mr. Taylor is a litigator whose practice focuses on white collar crime and government investigations, with particular experience in the health care industry. He represents clients in civil and criminal government investigations involving Department of Justice civil investigative demands and requests for documents and information. Mr. Taylor regularly coordinates extensive document review and productions in response to government investigations.
He is experienced in trial and appellate litigation in state and federal court, as well as state board investigations and administrative proceedings before professional licensing agencies. As part of his background in health care investigations, Mr. Taylor handled matters involving multijurisdictional pharmacies and healthcare professionals with disciplinary issues before state licensing entities across the country. He has experience responding to investigations and negotiating settlements.
Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Mr. Taylor worked with a national health care litigation and government investigations practice. He also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable David D. Noce of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
Mr. Taylor earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where he was a notes and comments editor for the Emory International Law Review. He earned his B.A. from Webster University.
