Employment Sites Program Offers Funding for Office, Industrial Development Projects Developers of projects that accelerate new construction, expansion, or rehabilitation of office, industrial, and manufacturing space and support job creation can be eligible for grants through the Employment Sites Program (ESP.) Local Food Vendor, Honey Puffs, Headed to Super BowlThere will be a little Greek at Super Bowl LV, as local business owner Tammy Levent’s food vending truck was selected to serve food at the Super Bowl Experience. Levent makes Honey Puffs, which are known locally as loukoumades, or Greek-style doughnuts. The business was selected through a competitive process. |
Meres Boulevard Extension OpensThe half-mile of roadway connecting Meres Blvd. to Mango St. is now open. The extension creates the only continuous east-west corridor in Tarpon Springs from the Gulf (Florida Ave.) to US 19. Nearby, the new apartment community, Icaria on Pinellas, is complete and accepting rentals, and Pinch-a-Penny will be constructing a new stand-alone store in the vacant lot south of Ace Hardware. The City’s portion of Meres Blvd. from Disston to US 19 will be undergoing improvements beginning this summer. |
