Gulfport’s Third Saturday IndieFaire Becomes a Monthly Highlight for Tampa Region Arts Lovers

January 13, 2021 by Post

Gulfport’s latest arts market attracts leading talents from throughout the region.

Gulfport, FL – Since its debut in mid-October, Gulfport’s Third Saturday IndieFaire has grown to become a highlight on the region’s expansive monthly arts calendar, attracting some of the area’s most innovative creators to a festive arts market each month alongside the shops, galleries and restaurants of scenic downtown Gulfport.

The event is hosted by the Gulfport Merchants Chamber (GMC) and takes place from 5pm-9pm this Saturday on Beach Boulevard, the town’s center of entertainment and commerce, and features artists, crafts-makers, botanicals and creative groups from throughout the region alongside live entertainment in an outdoor and socially distanced setting. Over two-dozen artists and crafts-makers will be on hand for Saturday’s event.

Barbara Banno is President of the GMC, host of both IndieFaire and Gulfport’s other signature monthly arts event, First Friday Art Walk:

“IndieFaire has become such an exciting event for Gulfport in just a few months and we look forward to welcoming arts lovers from across the region to town this Saturday night. We’re thrilled to see so many of our local artists taking part in both IndieFaire and Art Walk and are always excited to welcome talent from throughout the region to our events.”

Third Saturday IndieFaire is a curated event, with a committee selecting amongst applicants to provide a culturally rich combination of arts, crafts, jewelry and botanicals that showcase the vibrant and colorful creative community of the region.

As with all public events hosted by the Gulfport Merchants Chamber, all social distancing and safety protocols are met and exceeded as part of Gulfport STRONG, a heightened safety awareness campaign launched in September. Face masks are available upon request to visitors at many participating businesses.
