Lakeland, FL – CPS Investment Advisors, a fee-only, independent financial advisory firm headquartered in Lakeland, delivered a trailer full of toys and gifts to Peace River Center on Friday, December 18, 2020. The donations, provided by CPS Investment Advisors employees, will benefit 219 children and adolescents currently receiving case management and therapy services from Peace River Center Children’s Services program.

They have proven time and again to be an incredible community partner that truly understands and embraces the need for essential mental health services in our community,” said Ileana Kniss, Director of Development and Community Relations at Peace River Center. “These gifts mean so much to not only our caseworkers and therapists but also to the parents and youth served by our programs. Most of the families we serve have been overwhelmed with the burdens 2020 brought. These gifts are going to bring them such joy.”

Through Peace River Center Children’s Services programs therapists and case managers work to strengthen overall emotional functioning, offer individual and group therapy, provide families with support and linkage to community resources if needed, and more. Last year more than 450 children and adolescents, and their families, received support from Children’s Services.
