Hillsborough Residents who have lost their jobs amid COVID-19 are encouraged to apply
~ Grant focuses on getting Hillsborough residents back to work~
TAMPA, FL – Hillsborough County residents who have been laid-off or terminated during the COVID-19 pandemic can apply for part-time jobs funded via the National Dislocated Worker Grant (NDWG) program.
The jobs available with the grant is for:
• Part-time employment at 25 hours per week
• Wages of $15.50 per hour
• A 12-week program duration
• Hillsborough County Residents
“Hillsborough County residents who’ve lost their job loss or saw decreased income due to COVID-19,” said Christina Witt, CSTB Director of Programs. “We are working with select local non-profits who need assistance to continue to recover from the impacts, as well as to serve a higher demand in the community. The National Dislocated Grant can help residents get back on their feet while giving back to the community.”

• Metropolitan Ministries
• Feeding Tampa Bay
• United Food Bank of Plant City

In order to qualify for the grant, applicants must be 18 years of age or older, temporarily or permanently laid-off due to COVID-19 (or due to any other economic impact), self-employed and became unemployed or underemployed, or be long-term unemployed for six out of the past 13 weeks.
