Herrera Psychology, a practice that provides therapy for children, teens and young-adults, invites parents and their students to check out our new website. The refreshed site boasts an improved look-and-feel that is friendly, engaging, and mobile-responsive. Another feature of the site is a blog section that includes articles written by Herrera Psychology staff about mental health, therapy, college prep, and other related topics.
Herrera Psychology provides:
-Individual and group therapy.
-Evaluations and assessments to discover how your child learns, processes information, and regulates his or her emotions.
-Support and treatment plans that incorporate the student’s cognitive and emotional strengths.
-Telehealth therapy in a safe and secure environment as an option.
-Assistance and coaching through the college admissions process.
“We want to demystify therapy and make it more accessible to children and their families,” said Dr. Stacie Herrera, owner of Herrera Psychology. The practice is able to provide teletherapy through HIPAA-compliant and encrypted platforms. The new website also offers guidance as to when children may need therapy, what to expect at the first therapy session, and allows for parents and students to sign up for a monthly newsletter that offers tips for better mental wellness, programs and events, and college application best practices.
“Herrera Psychology believes in “people first,” so we approach each family and individual with dignity, respect, and curiosity,” states Herrera. “We start where our clients are and work collaboratively to overcome challenges and achieve goals.”
Herrera Psychology is enthusiastic about building and maintaining partnerships with other local professionals and agencies that support our community’s children and families. If you are an agency or support professional working with a child or family that you believe might benefit from the practice’s services, please contact the team.
“I think what sets Herrera Psychology apart is that not only do we have experience working in schools, we have the drive and skill to make a positive impact in students’ lives. My team shares a passion for finding the inner strength in every child, while sharing tools to manage all the big emotions that come with life, learning and communicating.”
