Kickstart Your Holiday Shopping with ARTWALK!! on November 14th!!!

ArtWalk has returned with renewed energy, life and most of all ART WORK just in time for Holiday Shopping! The studios and galleries of the Central Arts District, EDGE District, Grand Central District, Warehouse Arts District and downtown Waterfront Arts District will welcome visitors on Saturday, November 14 at various times throughout the day.COVID guidelines will be in place at each individual venue. The ArtWalk trolleys will NOT be running this month due to not having enough space for social distancing.If you do visit an ArtWalk venue this week or on Saturday, be prepared to follow THEIR guidelines for entry into their establishment. Please note that each venue has different Saturday hours.

 Art Fusion Galleries – 106 Central Avenue North, St. Pete, FL. Open 11am-9pm on November 14th.   See an eclectic variety of contemporary artwork by emerging and mid-career artists from around the world. From sculptures, paintings, photography, and more, there is something special for all of our new and existing customers! Regular hours are 11am-6pm Monday thru Saturday and 12-6pm on Sundays.
 
ARTicles Art Gallery – 1445 Central Avenue, St. Pete, FL. Open 11am – 5pm Monday – Saturday. Features an extensive offering of artworks, from local artist Steven Kenny to Switzerland artist Heike Mueller, as well as innovative custom framing design to help recreate and create any space big or small. 
 
ArtLofts – 10 5th St N, Saint Petersburg Second Floor (727) 391-890.  Open 5-8pm on November 14th. Visit with the artists of Artlofts in their working studios and see where the art is made. Guests must wear masks and social distance.
 
ArtsXchange Gallery and Studios – 515 22nd Street South (727) 256-0821. Open 5-9pm on November 14th.  Introducing their first Outdoor Marketplace that will include WADA member artisans who make products by hand exhibiting art in woodwork, jewelry, ceramics, textiles, mosaics, drawings, glass, jewelry, photography, printmaking, painting and more! Food vendors too! And some of the ArtsXchange studios will be open along with Seven C, Zhanna Thomas, Shelby Dillon and Mudjoy.  Masks are required. 
 
The Bula Barua Gallery – 212 Second Street North  (727) 900-1063. Open 12 – 8pm on November 14th. Enjoy the vivacious and free movements of Bula Barua’s luxurious Blown Glass on Canvas.  Barua’s paintings are multi-dimensional and incorporate luxury materials such as precious gems, agate, geodes, 24 karat gold leaf, Swaroski crystals and genuine silver leaf.  Current Regular Business Hours:  Tues – Thurs: 12PM – 6PM; Fri – Sat: 12PM – 8PM; Sun: 12PM – 6PM
 
Carter Woodson African American Museum – 2240 9th Avenue South (727) 323-1104 – Although the museum is currently closed, they offer the best exhibit in town – that of their extraordinary Black Lives Matter Street Mural located directly in front of the museum.  Feel free to stop by, take photos and share the experience. Open to the public daily sun up to sun down.
 
Charlie Parker Pottery – 2724 6th Avenue S., St. Pete, FL. Open 10am – 4pm on November 14th  Offering 20% discounts on pottery sales $20 and higher.  Stop by to check out this full service ceramic studio with both memberships and classes available.
 
Clay Center of St. Petersburg – 2010 1st Avenue South, St. Pete – Open 5-9pm on November 14th for their annual holiday sale.  Join them in an outside tent sale filled with unique art for the holiday. 
 
The Collectors Exchange – 2939 Central Avenue, Saint Pete, FL – Open 11am-8pm on November 14th  One of the issues avid art collectors eventually face is running out of space. The Collectors Exchange by ARTicles has been able to gather a diverse range of work from numerous estates and collections, including pieces by many well-known artists. Creative Art Studios at 400 – 400 23rd St S, St. Petersburg, FL 33712 – Open 5pm-8pm on November 14th! Showcasing artists in multiple mediums! Their talented community works in acrylic, oil, multi-media, graphite, jewelry, and beyond, focusing their passions into artwork that inspires you. No regular business hours so this is your only opportunity to visit this month.
 
Dominice Gilbert Sculpture Studio – 2341 1st Ave. S. Saint Petersburg Florida 33712 – 708-990-2544 Open 5-9pm on November 14th.  You can view all of her available work online here http://www.dominice.info/new-work.html Original sculptures are created from Bronze, Cor-ten and various other metals.  There is ample space to social distance and enjoy the sculptures among the gardens. Please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. All other days open by appointment only, call or text to set up a time to visit the studio (708)-990-2544.
 
Florida CraftArt – 501 Central Avenue (727) 821-7391 – Open 11-4pm on November 14th.  Discover original fine craft, such as handmade jewelry, glass, ceramics, wood and fiber. More than 200 of Florida’s finest craft artists are showcased in our main gallery. It’s a great destination for gifts, home décor or just artful browsing! Regular business hours are Wednesday – Saturday 11am–4pm.
 
Graphi-ko Gallery – 669 Central Avenue (727) 667-8126 – Open 11am – 6:30pm on November 14th. Graphi-ko features one of a kind made on site jewelry as well as items from around the world. 
 
Lynn Merhige Gallery – Open November 14th from 5-7pm.  Take a video tour of this downtown gallery where you can find prints, painting, clay work and handmade books.  Regular business hours are by appointment only at (727) 409-4871.
 
Luis Sottil Studios St. Pete – 400 Beach Drive NE, Ste. 146, St. Pete FL 727.220.1567. Open 12-10pm on November 14th.   They will be featuring their newest artist, Wendy Angle, who is an amazing resin artist!
 
MGA Sculpture Studio – 515 22nd Street South (727) 327-3473 – Open 5-9pm on November 14th.   MGA specializes in large scale public artwork. Their team is currently working on the First Flight monument, a life-sized tribute to the Benoist airboat that took the first commercial flight over the Tampa Bay in 1914. The 46′ airboat will be installed at the new St. Petersburg Pier this month! Artists at the Mirella Cimato Art Gallery – 2145 1st Avenue South, St. Pete, FLOpen from 5-8pm on November 14th.  Featured exhibit: Impressionism with an Edge. Award Winning, French-American Artist, Noreen Coup paints Contemporary Abstract Impressionist paintings mostly with a Palette Knife.  Up to 5 visitors at a time, mask required, temperature check at the entrance.
 
Morean Arts Center & Glass Studio – 719 Central Avenue (727) 822-7872 Open Saturday, Nov. 14 from 10am-9pm and Morean Glass Studio will be open 10am-5pm.Front Gallery – ‘Spread JOY’ – annual holiday member’s show and sale. The festooned galleries will feature locally made art and gifts that allow visitors to peruse great art while checking off gifts for every age and interest. Collectors can expect to find art by their favorite local creators and enjoy the opportunity to discover amazing new talent too.Front East Gallery – Dedicated to celebrating life here in Tampa Bay with a curated selection of photographs from the One Day Tampa Bay 2020 photo challenge. The photographers include professional and amateur shutterbugs who committed to taking photos on a single 24-hour day in September. Participants were provided with COVID safety procedures and identification badges and encouraged to explore the community with an unflinching eye.The inspiring exhibition features images both breathtaking in beauty and stark in realism. Many of the photographers offer prints for sale if you find something that brings you JOY or moves you.Risser Children’s Gallery – showcases the insightful art of Pinellas County High School artists who tackled the theme of ‘What the World Needs Now’ in art and words.Regular business hours for Morean Arts is Mon thru Sat 10am-5pm and Sunday 12-5pm. Morean Center for Clay – 420 22nd Street. South (727) 896-2529 – Open Saturday, Nov. 14 from 10am-9pm.  Newly promoted Kodi Thompson who was an Artist-in-Resident and then worked at the Morean Arts Center as an assistant curator before taking the helm as the Manager of the Morean Center for Clay will be showcasing his ‘XYZ’ urban extrusions work in the front gallery.  The exhibit features a body of work that resulted from clay being extruded through steel the artist plasma cut with shapes and compositions from two-dimensional inspirations including skateboarding, graffiti and architecture. “The ambiguous and cryptic nature of this work invites viewers to decode for themselves.  References tohis past are disguised in plain view from the extruding process, becoming a completely new and infinite set of forms to be interpreted.

Soft Water Studios – 515 22nd Street South (727) 480-8754 – Open Saturday November 14th from 5-9pm. Closing reception of “2020 Vision: Focusing on 3D Art”.  The 3D photography of Jim Swallow: through the lens and magic of stereoscopic photography allowing you to meet each artist in their studio. The show then features the art of all 20 nationally and internationally known artists from St Petersburg in the gallery on exhibition with the 3D show. To create stereographs Jim uses two cameras synced together. The cameras are placed the same distance apart as the human eye so as to create a 3D image. After the images are printed they are viewed with antique stereographs, many of which were made in the 19th century. By bringing the stereoscope to your eyes you are blocking out all other elements in the room and having a virtual view into the reality of the artist’s studio. Come and be a part of the amazing art scene that is uniquely St. Petersburg. This show was made possible in part with an Individual Artist grant from the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance. This show is Free and Open to the public providing a safe socially distanced opportunity to see in person a very unique viewing experience.
 
St. Pete Art Works – 2412 Central Avenue, St. Pete, FL (727) 710-7716 – Open Saturday, November 14, 12-8pm. Featured exhibition through November 15: “Role Reversal: Sculpture by Carole Shelton and Jewelry by Judy Vienneau”. LIVE MUSIC by guitarists Ed and Nick. The Studio@620 – 620 1st Avenue South, St. Pete, FL.  – Open 2-8pm on November 14th but RSVP for your timed entry to the gallery at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0E44AEAE2DA6F49-homage. The grand finale of the three month celebration of legendary photographer Herb Snitzer features “All That Visual Jazz” – famous images of familiar faces of beloved singers, musicians, celebrities and other known figures. This is Snitzer’s most known work and yet the impact only continues to grow with each viewing. Take advantage of this opportunity to view these original photographs in person! Masks are required.

Sunshine City Arts @ The St. Pete Pier Marketplace (727) 424-5245 – Open 10am-9pm on November 14th.  Featuring handmade art in a beautiful setting, created exclusively by St. Pete artists.  Take a piece of St. Pete home with you. Regular hours are: Thurs – 6-9pm; Fri – Sat – 10am-9pm and Sun: 10am-6pm
 
Woodfield Fine Art – 2253 Central Avenue, St. Pete – (727) 254-6981 Open 5-9pm on November 14th.  Celebrate their 5 year milestone anniversary by viewing the finest art by local artists.
