A West Indies-style home, built by Nautilus Homes, sells for more than $2 million—more than any other non-waterfront home in the Spice Bay community of Siesta Key.
(Sarasota, FL; November 6, 2020) For Nautilus Homes, 2020 has been a year of honors and accolades. The Sarasota-based luxury builder now has another reason to celebrate. A West Indies-style house in the Spice Bay community of Siesta Key that the company built in 2014 recently sold for a record-breaking $2.35 million. The house sold for $690 per square foot—a stark contrast to other non-waterfront home sales over $1.3 million in the past 180 days with a 34242 zip code. These ranged from $477.95 per square foot to $571.26.
“We built every inch of this house with scrupulous craftsmanship at a level of detail and attention that is unsurpassed. We are happy that this level of quality is reflected in the sale price,” says Ryan Perrone, owner and co-founder of Nautilus Homes.
The residence, at 1207 Sharswood Lane, Sarasota, comprises 3,235 square feet of interior space and is situated on a .35 acre lot. “The design encourages indoor-outdoor living with stunning views of nature from every room,” says Perrone. “The airy, open plan, spacious, light-filled rooms, and the expansive outdoor courtyard with pool, offers plenty of space to live, work, play and entertain.”
The home’s “Wow” factors include its estate-sized mahogany front door, exquisite hand-crafted finishes, wide plank oil wood flooring, a state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen, a serene master suite with a huge European-style spa bath, and a wall of glass sliders opening out on a lush tropical paradise with pool and covered patio.
Perrone adds that Nautilus currently seeks an investor to build a second home in the same community. The plans, already completed, are for a West Indies-style home with a greater interior area (4,827 square feet) and on a larger lot. Interior details include lofty, pitched exposed beam ceilings, oversized guest rooms, a convertible indoor/outdoor living room with wood-burning fireplace, and a stunning custom-crafted mahogany front door.
“We’ve fallen in love with the Spice Bay community and are thrilled to be part of its growth,” says Perrone. “Success builds on success and we have no doubt that this next one will be a record breaker, too!”
Since the beginning of this year, Nautilus Homes has been honored with three national awards for two different homes. The company was selected for two Best in American Living Awards and one Nationals award by the National Home Builder’s Association.
Perrone says that 2020 has already been a monumental year for Nautilus—and sets the stage for the monumental decade to come.
“We’re celebrating our 10th year this year,” he says. “I think this achievement is a wonderful way to acknowledge our hard work and success. We expect the next 10 years to be just as rewarding.”
