Goodwill Manasota will celebrate our heroes this Veterans Day with a special event on Wednesday, November 11, from 7-11 a.m. The organization’s Veterans Service Program (8490 Lockwood Ridge Rd., Sarasota) will serve up a free, hot breakfast; in attendance during the event will be representatives from several local veterans’ organization partners – including SRQ Vets, Jewish Family & Children’s Services (JFCS), the University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee (USFSM), Veteran Air, and more – to assist veterans in need, or to recruit veterans who would like to get involved. 92.1 CTQ’s Maverick and Lulu In The Morning will be broadcasting live on-site.
Goodwill Manasota’s Veterans Services Program offers assistance with and information on VA claims, employment, housing, the GI Bill, and many other services that help veterans and their families with basic needs or to reintegrate into civilian life.
