Sharing a cup of coffee is a morning ritual for people everywhere. Imagine how that cup of coffee & conversations can impact lives and lift spirits. It can and it has. That is the idea behind the Cup of Love Fridays initiative. Beginning in November this event will take place each Friday with a goal of uniting people every Friday through December.
Specifically this plan has a greater purpose. Cup of love Fridays is the starting point to raise funds to help those who have been incarcerated and are now returning to a normal life. These coffee conversations can inspire & lift people up to become productive citizens. The stories of support and helping hands are inspiring at a time when we need hope, to give and share. THIS is a story of hope and community synergy.
Some people down on their luck turn to substances to get by and that often leads to crime. This program works to say YOU can turn YOUR life around and it can all begin with belief and connections. This group aims to help one person, one cup of coffee at a time.
The organizers know something about this. Robert Taylor and Thomas Younk also found themselves in a spiral of negativity and hope lost. The fellowship idea was born behind bars. It worked and connected the inmate population and it grew in popularity. They knew they were onto something and they then offered outreach on the outside. For many it’s a gradual return to society. They often need guidance & direction. Cup Of Love Fridays raises funds to support this transition. It IS working and transforming lives. Money raised helps men and women’s shelters for prisoners upon release in Pinellas, Hillsborough & Pasco Counties. CupOfLoveFridays.com

Second chances can prove to be very valuable, without it a circle of repeat offenses could occur. Sometimes all people need is one chance for a second chance at a better life. For more information you can contact Maureen Famiano at MEFMedia at 813-495-0663
