
SARASOTA, Fla. — October 28, 2020 — Eleni Kouvatsos has earned her professional accreditation in public relations. In receiving the designation of Accredited in Public Relations (APR), Kouvatsos joins the more than 5,000 professionals nationally that represent an elite group of highly skilled public relations professionals committed to practicing with exemplary ethical standards.
Kouvatsos earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida in 2014 and began working for First Watch Restaurants in 2015, where she is now the senior manager of communications. She leads public relations efforts for the brand, including its earned media strategy,
social media strategy and crisis communication, in addition to overseeing a customer care team as well as other strategic public relations and marketing programs. Kouvatsos is also the current chapter president of the Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (CWC-FPRA). She first joined CWC-FPRA in 2015 and began serving on the chapter’s board in 2018.
The APR examination is administered by the Universal Accreditation Board (UAB), which is an alliance of eight national and statewide professional associations dedicated to furthering the field of public relations and the development of public relations professionals. The Florida Public Relations Association is a member of the UAB.
Lt. Col. John Dillin, APR, CPRC, established FPRA in 1938 for the purpose of helping public relations practitioners do their jobs better. As the oldest public relations organization in the country, FPRA is dedicated to developing public relations practitioners, who, through ethical and standardized practices, enhance the public relations profession in Florida.
