St. Petersburg, FL (October 28, 2020) — Ciccio Restaurant Group (CRG), one of Tampa Bay’s largest independent hospitality groups, is pleased to announce that its first food hall, On The Fly, will officially open on Nov. 16 with the addition of Taco Dirty. Already beloved in Tampa’s SoHo district, Taco Dirty joins local favorites Better Byrd, Sweet Soul and Fresh Kitchen all in one convenient location on St. Pete’s Fourth Street.
On The Fly guests will have access to a wide variety of tasty, healthy, customizable options to satisfy any lifestyle and craving, both in person at 4447 Fourth St. N. and online. Diners can easily place delivery orders for Taco Dirty, Better Byrd and Sweet Soul on the same ticket from Uber Eats, Door Dash, Grubhub and Postmates, as well as for pick up via On The Fly’s website.
“On The Fly is not only CRG’s first food hall, but one of the only concepts in Tampa Bay / St. Pete that allows you to order from multiple restaurants online at one time,” said CRG Founder James Lanza. “The way people experience food has been continuously changing since the pandemic began, and we wanted to offer people the option to enjoy fresh, healthy, reasonably priced food however they are most comfortable. Whether you experience OTF in-person or from the comfort of your own home, we are hoping to appeal to our guests’ diverse tastes.”
Taco Dirty’s veggie-friendly, New Mexican menu features taco platters and bowls with flavorful proteins ranging from lemon grilled shrimp to roasted pineapple pork to plant-based mushroom and tofu chorizo. The build-your-own dishes encourage diners to get creative with their choice of fresh toppings and house-made sauces, like buffalo avocado and lime yogurt sriracha. And no meal is complete without a side of “off the cob” street corn, warm chocolate chip cookies, fresh juice or a margarita (available to-go!).
Sweet Soul, which has been highly successful with its first location in Tampa and opened at On the Fly Oct. 1, offers an array of plant-based smoothies, acai bowls and soft-serve ice cream with fun, unique flavors like charcoal, matcha, and for a limited time, pumpkin latte. Better Byrd, which first opened in 2016, is known for its gluten-free fried chicken, available in a bowl or on a bun. All meals can be made vegan by subbing the protein for crispy tofu or cauliflower.
Although not in the main food hall, Fresh Kitchen is located in the same building and shares outdoor seating with the other three concepts.
