Figure The Most Suitable Life Rhythm For Yourself

October 27, 2020 by Post

More likely than not, we are all trying to grow mentally, physically, and emotionally. 2020 is the year for improvement, and it’s not just because of following a trend. The more we grow older, the more we want to live life freely from toxic people, places, things, opinions, or anything that can destroy us, or at least we try. Millennials and Gen Z can relate to this as they have learned from those that are older from them. Decades ago, people were taught to “get over it” to “follow the rules” to stick to a “societal standard” that was forced into them. Times are different now, and we are all striving to be better than those before us. With growth, the most essential part of it is self care and self love. This means that you are doing not only the inner work, but also the outer work as well. This is a journey for everyone and it will be quite difficult at the start.

Many of us grew up to be selfless people, this can mean that we grew to be codependent. Getting out of those situations is difficult enough, but growing out of it is a challenge, and it can take months, even years to fix, especially when you were so used to giving your time to people as well as putting most of your time and effort to working. By now, you are probably burnt out and have no idea where you should start fixing yourself. Take a step back and reflect where you are in life. Try to write it down. Ask yourself what you can do for yourself. You may not know how to answer this. You may also feel as if you can’t allot time to do the inner work. But the good thing about this is that this journey takes time.

Finding the suitable life rhythm for yourself isn’t as difficult as it sounds. Figure out what your goals and priorities are, list them down and figure out things you can do for yourself on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis. Having a routine is essential as this can give you more time for yourself. You can implement small activities for yourself on a daily basis such as meditation, journaling and reflection, making a meal for yourself or even a monthly or yearly basis such as taking yourself out on a date or planning a trip to travel out of the country. Once you have figured these out, it will be easier for you to apply it in your daily life, and it will feel effortless and natural to your mind and body. Once you’re used to your mind and body for yourself, you will more likely be able to be mindful of your ultradian rhythm, a rhythm of life that is essential to your well being. Your ultradian rhythm can be cycles of your sleep or waking, and can heavily affect your life, especially your mental well being if not taken care of. Taking care of your life rhythm is essential for self growth so it is best to take care of yourself in order to figure out the best life rhythm for you.
