Her Original Song is Relevant to Current Times
TAMPA, FLORIDA — An official music video for her song “Brave” will be released next week Friday, November 6th, by singer, songwriter, guitar player Frankie Raye. The song was originally inspired by the shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, which took place in June 2016. However, the Tampa Bay area recording artist said that the song is very relevant to present day because it is “about social issues, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, humanity, and standing together in tough times.” She adds that, “The video shows examples of all of these.”
Set to premiere on her official YouTube channel at 2:00pm Eastern Time on the aforementioned date, the video was shot in Tampa and directed by Blake Cortes.
“This was my first official music video shoot, and I felt very fortunate to have so many people come together to make this possible,” Frankie Raye said. “Blake Cortes did a wonderful job directing us and making the process fun and laid back. I was so touched to see that the actors in the video were supportive of the message that the lyrics bring; everyone really got into the stories being told throughout the song, and I could see that it resonated with them in some way. I hope the viewers find a connection with the song, as well!”
The title track from Frankie Raye’s 2019 album, “Brave” is depicted in a video that also includes actress Elayna Clair, as well as (shown holding signs) Jamey Wendel, David Crawford, Stephanie Marazzo (plus Frankie Raye and Elayna Clair).
