OSPREY, FL (October 23, 2020) Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast announces a virtual Wild About Nature experience this year, bringing together local environmental and youth-serving organizations to connect kids to the beauty and wonder of the natural world. The 2020 Wild About Nature experience is presented by sponsors Mike and Christine Knupp, and includes a Field Guide to Fun activity book and a Facebook event.
The Field Guide to Fun activity book includes craft projects, scavenger hunts, trail guides, and other unique activities, many contributed by local organizations, to foster a love and appreciation of the great outdoors. Families must sign-up on the Conservation Foundation website to secure a copy of the guide.
The pick-up of the Field Guide is a drive-thru only at Bay Preserve, 400 Palmetto Avenue, Osprey, on Saturday, November 7, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Registrants may come any time during the pick-up time to receive a copy of the guide. Copies are limited to one per family and the first 400 children on pick-up day will also receive an extra special Wild About Nature planting set.
The virtual Facebook event covers nine days, November 8 through 16. Each day will highlight activities from the Field Guide to Fun, and feature daily nature challenges, exclusive event-only video content, and opportunities to enter into a drawing for the grand prize giveaway.
Visit Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast on Facebook to RSVP for the virtual event and sign-up for your copy of the Field Guide to Fun at conservationfoundation.com/wild. A digital version of the guide will be available after the pick-up day.
