
TAMPA, Fla. October 15, 2020 – Tampa Bay Tech is thrilled to announce the finalists for this year’s technology awards show. This year’s show will be held virtually as a happy hour on November 12th, starting at 4:00 PM EST.
“We have been doing this legacy event for sixteen years so it was extremely important to me, as well as our board of directors, to continue to celebrate this amazing community we work in, even if virtually!” said Jill St Thomas, Executive Director of Tampa Bay Tech. “This year’s nominees were all incredible and our judges noted how touched they were by those who crafted personal stories of overcoming the adversity that 2020 has been famous for, at this point.”
This year’s show has seven categories.
In Emerging Tech Leader of the Year, finalists are:
Erik Maltais Founder/CEO, Immertec, Kate Dalley, Director of Product Development, PowerChord and Samyr Qureshi, co-founder/CEO, Knack
For Tech Leader of the Year, finalists are:
Balaji Ramadoss Founder/CEO, Edgility, Greg Ross-Munro, CEO, Sourcetoad, Jean Kneisler, VP/CIO, Jabil Inc.
For Tech Company of the Year, finalists are:
Digital Hands, InSync Healthcare Solutions and KnowBe4
Tech Project of the Year finalists: Cope Notes, Geographic Solutions and Nextech
Emerging Tech Company of the Year, finalists are: Chattr, NIX and Venuetize
A new category was announced this year, Bridge Builder, to recognize someone in the community who is dedicated to building a radically connected tech ecosystem. Whether through philanthropy, thought leadership or a commitment to social causes, this person is someone at the center of making Tampa Bay’s tech community better, each and every day. The finalists are:
Evan Brenner, Geographic Solutions, Brian Kornfeld, Synapse and Suzanne Ricci, Computer Coach Training Center.
And, the fifth Community Dedication and Leadership Award winner will be announced during the show! Previous winners include, Chris Cate, COO/CIO Valpak, Tony DiBenedetto founder, Think Big for Kids, Tom Wallace, founder of Florida Funders and Linda Olson, CEO of Tampa Bay Wave.
