Tiger Bay Club Forum: Hillsborough County School Board General Election Forum

TAMPA—The Tampa Tiger Bay Club will host a virtual forum Friday, October 2 at noon featuring general election candidates for Hillsborough County School Board.

The forum will feature District 1 candidate Nadia Combs and incumbent Steve Cona; District 3 candidates Mitch Thrower and Jessica Vaughn; District 5 incumbent Tamara Shamburger and candidate Henry “Shake” Washington; and District 7 incumbent Lynn Gray and candidate Sally Harris. 

The virtual forum will be presented in partnership with the Athena Society, the Hillsborough County Democratic Executive Committee, Hillsborough Republican Party, The Junior League of Tampa, The League of Women Voters of Hillsborough County, North Hillsborough Republican Club, Southshore Republican Club, Tampa Bay Young Republicans, and Tampa Republican Women Federated. 

The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will be shown live beginning at noon on tigerbayclub.com, Facebook (facebook.com/tigerbaytampa) and the Tampa Bay Arts and Education Network Spectrum channel 636 & Frontier channel 34. 

Tampa Tiger Bay Club President Yvonne Fry will moderate. Only Tiger Bay Club members may ask questions, which they can submit in advance by emailing them to executivedirector@tigerbayclub.com or during the meeting on Facebook. To become a member, go to https://www.tigerbayclub.com/join-tbc/

For nearly 40 years, the Tampa Tiger Bay Club has presented live discussions of important topics of the day. We hope to return to in-person meetings soon.
