(Sarasota, FL; September 2020) The Center for Architecture Sarasota recently welcomed Ryan Perrone to its board of directors. Perrone is the owner and co-founder of Nautilus Homes, a Sarasota-based luxury builder. The Center for Architecture Sarasota is a not-for-profit, member-supported organization that provides a meeting place and destination for people who believe good design matters. Through exhibits, lectures, tours and special events, the Center offers a place where design professionals, community leaders, students, and the public can admire, discuss, and debate our built environment.
“Ryan has an insatiable appetite for architecture and design and his energy and enthusiasm are contagious,” says David K. Lowe, chairperson of the Center’s board. “He’s been an active member and supporter of our organization for several years, not only on a personal level, but also through his company, which provides corporate sponsorships, so critical in developing and maintaining the quality of the Center’s programs and events. We are thrilled to have Ryan join our board and look forward to working together with him.”
Perrone, who was selected as a “40 Under 40” rising star by both Professional Builder magazine and by the Business Observer for outstanding achievements accomplished before the age of 40, says he’s honored to serve on the Center’s board of directors.
“The Center for Architecture Sarasota celebrates and promotes our region’s outstanding architectural legacy,” says Perrone. “It also provides an important forum for today’s designers and educates and connects Sarasota with the rest of the design world. Nautilus Homes works closely with the region’s preeminent architects and designers and I value the opportunity to share my insights and experiences with them.”
In the past six months, Nautilus Homes has been honored with three national awards for two different homes. The company was selected for two Best in American Living Awards and one Nationals award by the National Home Builder’s Association. Perrone says that 2020 has already been a monumental year.
“We’re celebrating our 10th year this year and this is a wonderful way to acknowledge our hard work and success. We expect the next 10 years to be as rewarding.”
The Center for Architecture’s board of trustees includes David K. Lowe, chair; Cynthia Peterson, founder, board chair emeritus; Renea M. Glendinning, treasurer; and Anna Chase, Katherine DeSousa, Barbara J. Lorry, Joseph Johnson, and Jeff Acker.
