SARASOTA, Fla. (Sept. 17, 2020) – Gulf Tile Distributors of Florida, Inc., a distributor of leading manufacturers of tile, stone and LVT flooring, is opening a new location in Sarasota. The company has leased a 5,697-square-foot industrial space at 1575 Cattlemen Road to serve as a showroom and distribution center. They plan to add an additional 1,968 square feet of space to the lease next year.
Gulf Tile Distributors of Florida, Inc. has five locations in West Central and Southwest Florida.
Nick DeVito II, SIOR, and Joanna Ginder of Ian Black Real Estate represented the landlord, Cattlemen Road Trust. Penny Parks of Links Financial Real Estate represented the tenant.
“This area of Cattlemen Road has numerous businesses catering to construction and remodeling,” said DeVito, partner at Ian Black Real Estate. “Gulf Tile is the perfect addition to the area, and the location will allow them to take advantage of the consumers already driving along this road looking to address their home renovation needs. The growth east of Interstate 75 in Sarasota and Bradenton also made this area a desirable location for the tenant.”
The property was previously home to Kirkplan Kitchens, which recently purchased a building and relocated to 2015 Cattlemen Road.
“Given that the previous tenant was a kitchen remodeling company, the space was near move-in ready for Gulf Tile, who also required a showroom and distribution center,” said DeVito. “This gave them the ability to move in quickly and start taking advantage of the repeat customers driving to this location.”
