Sarasota, FL (September 15, 2020) – Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota County is thrilled to be a recipient of a $5,000 grant from State Farm to help build affordable homes in South Sarasota County for the fourth year in a row.
Habitat and State Farm have built a solid partnership with the common goal to build safer, stronger, better educated communities. State Farm’s goal is to inspire and empower people to get involved in their communities to create a positive, sustainable, and measurable social impact. In addition to contributing financially, local State Farm team members volunteer their time building homes for Habitat partner families. State Farm gives back to the neighborhoods it serves and helps develop stronger neighborhoods by reinvesting in the community.
Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota County, Inc. operates as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Habitat SSC has made great strides towards its mission to build safe, affordable housing for those in need in south Sarasota County. Without the help of charitable sponsors, like State Farm, Habitat SSC could not accomplish their goal of providing safe, affordable, energy efficient homes.
