PulteGroup Breaks Ground on Del Webb BayView, Featuring a Luxury Amenities Complex for Active Adults

September 14, 2020 by Post

TAMPA, Fla. (Sept.14, 2020) —Del Webb, a division of PulteGroup, has broken ground on Del Webb BayView, an active adult community in Manatee County that features an unparalleled amenity complex with a spacious clubhouse, two pools, onsite restaurant and bar overlooking the pools and pond, 12 sports courts, community garden, dog park and a private amphitheater.

“Homeowners will enjoy one of the top amenity complexes in the Tampa Bay area,” said Sean Strickler, president of the West Florida division of PulteGroup, which includes the Del Webb, Centex and Pulte Homes brands. “Everything was designed with our new homeowners in mind including outdoor activities, dining and entertainment.”

The centerpiece of the amenities complex will be a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse and recreational complex with fitness center, demonstration kitchen, juice-and-coffee bar, aerobics studio, arts and crafts studio, and rooms for socializing. The 3,500-square-foot indoor-outdoor bar and grill will be next door.

The main building will open onto a resort-style pool with lap lanes and a resistance pool for water aerobics. Tennis, pickle ball and bocce courts, plus a dog park, community garden and kayaking area will be adjacent to the clubhouse.

Residents will gather around a private amphitheater with an event lawn that hosts concerts and other performances, plus a farmers’ market. A full-time Lifestyle Director and community association director will schedule events and create social activities including clubs, seminars and classes that bring community members together.

Del Webb BayView offers 12 GenYou Floor Plans tailored to homeowners’ personal tastes and needs. They can see online just what their home will look like using PulteGroup’s proprietary design tool.

The homes are designed utilizing feedback from Del Webb residents across the country and highlight the cooking, entertaining and personal interests of adults at or near retirement. They feature open, flowing spaces, wider hallways, available zero-entry showers, and point-of-use storage space. The single-family and low-maintenance villa homes of 1,400 to 3,400 square feet have 2-5 bedrooms, 2-5 bathrooms and 2-to-3-car garages.

Homebuyers can get a first look at Del Webb BayView with an online video of the groundbreaking and property. And they can watch the community come alive on a construction web cam with four views of land development as it happens. Construction of the decorated models is expected to begin in early 2021 with the grand opening expected in July.

Del Webb BayView sits on nearly 500 acres with 950 homesites at the intersection of Moccasin Wallow and Carter roads in Palmetto, Florida 34221, one mile east of I-75 exit 229 (Moccasin Wallow Road). Residents will enjoy easy commutes to work and play in Tampa, St. Petersburg and the gulf beaches, Bradenton and Sarasota. Closer to home, they will find medical care facilities, shopping centers such as Ellenton Premium Outlets, and entertainment venues.

Home prices begin in the low $200s. Buyers can obtain more information by calling 941-417-0505, or by visiting DelWebb.com/BayView and joining the VIP Interest List.
