BARNES TRIAL GROUP HELPS CONNECT FAMILIES DURING COVID-19
Donation Of Video Conferencing Devices To The Legacy at Highwoods Preserve and Palm Terrace Assisted Living Helps More Loved Ones Connect, More Often
TAMPA, FL — Video conferencing with families and friends has become a way of life for many during COVID-19, but for those living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, the simple act of seeing loved ones is often a challenge. Facilities have limited — if any — equipment. Initiating or receiving video calls requires significant advanced planning.
Barnes Trial Group is working to change that. The law firm is donating 55 video conferencing units to The Legacy at Highwoods Preserve and Palm Terrace Assisted Living, making it easier for residents to connect to their loved ones with more frequency. The devices will be delivered just in time for use on Grandparent’s Day, Sunday, September 13, 2020.

ABOUT BARNES TRIAL GROUP:
Barnes Trial Group is focused on serving the needs of its clients as effectively and efficiently as possible. Attorney Stephen Barnes has more than two decades of experience helping those who have been injured in accidents. He is joined by attorneys Tami Trimming, Benjamin Crawford, John Trujillo, Jr., Allen J. Pipkins II, and Valerie Leatherwood. Together they are able to deliver the positive outcomes our clients need.
The donation by Barnes Trial Group is part of a national outreach event known as the Injury Board Day Of Action — a collaborative effort by the nation’s leading plaintiff’s attorneys to make a difference in their local communities.
Several times a year, Barnes Trial Group invites their staff’s children to participate in a community outreach program with their attorneys and staff. Due to social distancing, they had to come up with a creative way for the children to participate in this Injury Board Day of Action from their homes. They teamed up with The Legacy at Highwoods Preserve and Palm Terrace Assisted Living and connected 21 of their staff and children with a pen pal in these assisted living facilities. The firm provided all the children with stationary, postcards, stickers, and colored pens to write and draw pictures for their resident pen pals. Everyone is very excited to participate in this pen pal program as it provides yet another way to keep nursing home and assisted living facility residents socially connected.
