TradeWinds Becomes “Remote Retreat” for Distance Learners and Workers

Two New Programs Features Complimentary E-Learning Coaches, IT Support and More

ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. (Aug. 31, 2020) – School is in session and the office is open at the TradeWinds Island Grand Resort, located along acres of sugary white beaches on the island of St. Pete Beach, Florida. The resort has announced two new “remote retreat” programs – “Learn from Paradise” and “Work from Paradise” – designed for students who are learning from home, office employees who are working from home, or both. Available Monday through Friday beginning Sept. 8, the innovative programs feature a range of perks, benefits, and amenities, all included in nightly room rates as low as just $175.00*.

“With these new Remote Retreat programs, our goal is to make things a little less challenging and a little more rewarding for both students and parents during these difficult times,” said Bob LaCasse, Managing Director of TradeWinds Island Resorts. “We’ve put together some great services, amenities, and extras to provide a welcome respite for those who continuing to work or learn from home, and an environment that is more fun and productive for everyone.”

The Island Grand’s “Learn from Paradise” program provides an ideal learning environment for students and a much-needed break for parents with the creation of the Learning Lounge. This supervised, specially designated area offers plenty of socially-distanced work stations available from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the week. With stations organized into zones based on grade level, the Lounge also features open study spots, and an area for brain breaks where students can relax or play one of the games provided. TradeWinds will also provide both a “study buddy” and a certified E-Learning specialist to assist distance learners with online classes and homework from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each weekday, at no extra charge to guests. To help round out their school day, students may choose to enjoy scheduled PE and Art programming, take a stretching and mindfulness break, and can buy lunch from a special menu. Registration is required for the “Learn from Paradise” program and must be completed at least 48 hours in advance. The program runs through Oct. 30.

With thousands of office employees still working from home, the TradeWinds is offering a much-needed break and a welcome change of scenery with the “Work from Paradise” program. Designated working lounges have been created within the resort’s redesigned meeting spaces, allowing for social distancing to provide a safe, optimal work environment. Recently reconfigured Wi-Fi provides strong, reliable access, but if any problems arise, guests have access to the resort onsite IT department to troubleshoot any issues. For those wanting a little more privacy, the resort’s spacious and newly redesigned suites make a perfect temporary office space. Complimentary beach cabanas are also an option for an enviable Zoom background.

In order to ensure guest safety, students will be separated by six feet and masks will be required in the E-Learning program, Learning Lounge and work stations. Hand sanitation stations will be available in the rooms, routine cleaning will be done throughout the day, and electrostatic sanitation will be performed daily. Parents will fill out a registration form and a COVID questionnaire for each student that takes part in the E-Learning program. If any student shows symptoms or signs of COVID, they will be removed from the program.

Located on Florida’s Gulf Coast, the TradeWinds Island Resorts offer a refreshing and picturesque setting for learning, working, and playing. Guests have the opportunity to connect while they disconnect with limitless beachfront recreation, sumptuous dining, fantastic family activities and programs and world-class meeting facilities. Visitors can sway in a hammock while on a conference call, relieve stress on the three-story High Tide Slide, take a break from cooking with a visit to one of the TradeWinds restaurants, exercise with a run on the beach and end the evening with a magical sunset on a private balcony.
