St. Petersburg, Florida –(September 1, 2020) – St. Petersburg General Hospital today announced that it is a 5-star recipient for Vaginal Deliver, C-Section Delivery, and Gynecologic Procedures as recognized by Healthgrades, the leading resource that connects consumers, physicians and health systems.This 5-star rating indicates that St. Petersburg General Hospital’s clinical outcomes for Vaginal Delivery, C-Section Delivery, and Gynecologic Procedures are statistically significantly better than expected.

- 66.5% lower risk of experiencing a complication while in the hospital than if they were treated by hospitals with 1-star.*
From 2016-2018, patients having a C-Section Delivery in hospitals with 5-stars have, on average:
- 59.4% lower risk of experiencing a complication while in the hospital than if they were treated by hospitals with a 1-star.*
From 2016-2018, patients having a Vaginal Delivery in hospitals with 5-stars have, on average:
- 43.6% lower risk of experiencing a complication while in the hospital than if they were treated by hospitals with 1-star.*
This is the six consecutive 5-star rating for St. Petersburg General Hospital for Vaginal Deliveries (2015-2020).
