
LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – Halfacre Construction Company, a Lakewood Ranch-based commercial construction company, is soliciting subcontractor bids for the project to add an approximately 21,000-square-foot building at Wimauma Elementary School in Wimauma, Fla.
Halfacre Construction Company, the construction manager for the project, is seeking submissions from qualified subcontractors for the construction of the new classroom addition with covered walkways. Construction is scheduled to start in fall 2020, with a projected completion date of summer 2021.
Several trade packages are included in the request for bids, such as electrical, plumbing, concrete, masonry and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), among other trades. Package documents for the project are available via Procore. Bids must be received via email by Wednesday, August 19.
Designed by Hepner Architects, the newest structure will house classrooms and other educational spaces for elementary children. The approximately $6 million project will be phased to accommodate an active campus. Located at 5709 Hickman Street in Wimauma, the current campus consists of 9 buildings.
