Goin’ Postal Lakeland, a retail pack and ship store in downtown Lakeland is under new ownership

August 4, 2020 by Post

Lakelanders Angie and Jim Mosier announced this week that their family’s retail arm, JAM Retail, Inc., has completed the acquisition and assumed operations of the Goin’ Postal franchise located at 304 E. Pine Street in Lakeland.
Goin’ Postal is an authorized shipping center for FedEx, UPS, DHL and they are licensed to receive mail by the U.S. Postal Service. They abide by strict regulations to maintain their authorized relationship with these companies, so you know your package is in good hands. They also offer all of the services available at the Post Office, from certified mail to parcel post, so you’ll never have to wait in line again.
In addition to the shipping arrangements, the store also offers a variety of business services, such as copy & print, faxing, notary public, fingerprinting and passport services.
“I really like the brand, (and) the customer service they offered in the past,” Angie Mosier, the company’s president said. “The location is known for really great service, and is a staple in the downtown area, which I love. We hope this purchase helps strengthen our roots with the downtown community.”
Jim Mosier, the company’s vice-president, stated “There is also a strategic angle to this acquisition for us. Besides the retail operation, it gives us the ability to offer full-scale fulfillment services to small e-commerce shops through our affiliated companies.”
The affiliated company he is referencing is MosierData, a website development and digital marketing firm, located about a block away at 314 N. Kentucky Ave. Founded by Mr. Mosier in 2005, MosierData specializes in helping small to medium businesses with managing their online presence, and also does a fair amount e-commerce consulting and sales optimization.
The previous owner, Chris Kittelberger of the Kittelberger Group, decided to place the franchise up for sale to dedicate her efforts into growing her company’s other downtown brand, Magnolia Popcorn Company, which remains a downtown resident just around the corner.
