July 29, 2020 by Post

As technology continues to accelerate, there are a variety of business trends that are already beginning to change the landscape of the business sector. As technology advances, so does the way in which businesses run. In recent years, we’ve seen a considerable change in the way in which a significant number of companies operate as a result of advancements in technology.

Thanks to the pandemic that the world is currently living through, businesses across the globe have been forced to significantly adapt how they run, with many companies becoming virtual companies overnight. This huge shift in the way in which business is being done has had a significant impact on the business industry as a whole, driving forward the need for further technological advancements.

These considerable changes to the business sector have meant that a lot of people have been wondering what the future of business will look like next year, in five years, and in ten years. While there’s no knowing what the future of the business industry looks like, there are a few key pieces of research that have suggested which areas of the business sector may change in the near future.

Wondering what may change and what businesses may look like in 2025? Have a read of the guide below!

Advancements in business technology

The way that the business sector operates has shown is that there is a continuing need for advancements in technology and communication tools for businesses. There are already some fantastic tools available, with many companies working with a business phone service provider, cloud storage provider, and productivity tool like Slack or Monday to help make working from anywhere a more seamless process. However, further advancements in technology are still required, and over the next few years, we should start to see some significant changes coming into the business technology sector.

Every business could be paper-free

Paper is not only damaging to the environment, which has been a critical issue within the business sector for a number of years now, but it’s also a potential risk for spreading viruses and bacteria, such as COVID-19. During the pandemic, a large percentage of businesses have chosen to move their correspondence to be paper-free.

By 2025, if things carry on as they are, you may find that all businesses are effectively paper-free. Thanks to advancements in technology, there is no longer a vital need for paper in many business setups. The development of effective cloud-based solutions and online tools has meant that paper is no longer a necessity for daily business use.

More remote workers

During the pandemic, around 95% of businesses have had some or all of their workforce working in a remote capacity from home. Over the last few years, remote working has become increasingly popular with businesses and employees, and various pre-pandemic reports said that by 2050 a high percentage of people would be working remotely. Of course, the pandemic pushed this forward, and we have recently seen just how effectively businesses could move to remote working methods.

There you have it, a simple guide to what the business sector may look like in 2025.
