CLEARWATER, Fla. – After a nationwide search, Eckerd Connects today announced that Tony Van Slyke will join the organization in as its new Chief Financial Officer.
“Tony is an innovative, strategic leader with deep expertise in all aspects of finance,” said Eckerd Connects President and CEO, David Dennis. “His heart, passions and highly motivational approach for growing one’s own potential align well with the mission of Eckerd Connects.”
Van Slyke joins Eckerd Connects from Goodwill of Houston where he worked for 12 years and most recently served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Under his strategic leadership and partnership with the CEO, Goodwill of Houston grew from a $30 million to a $150 million organization and increased its staff from 400 to 2,100.
He currently serves on the board for Financial Executives International (FEI) and is Chairman of the Board for Vecino Health Centers. In 2012, Van Slyke received the Houston Business Journal award for CFO of the Year in the nonprofit category.
