TAMPA, Fla. (July 27, 2020) – Florida House candidate Julie Jenkins was endorsed by U.S. Representative Kathy Castor. Congresswoman Castor’s endorsement joins the list of local organizations and community stakeholders to support Jenkins’ candidacy, including the Brady Campaign, Florida Democratic Disability Caucus, Moms Demand Action, and the Sierra Club.
“I support Julie Jenkins for State Representative, District 60. Julie will be an outspoken advocate for small business owners, public schools, gun violence prevention and health care as we grapple with COVID-19. Julie will stand up for local neighborhoods and reject the top-down approach to governing that has become too frequent in the Florida Legislature,” said Congresswoman Castor. “I have seen firsthand how Julie fights tirelessly for small businesses and I trust her to stand up for us. Julie will be an excellent state representative and she has my full support.”
